When your loved one becomes a Lifesharing organ or tissue donor, you become part of our extended family. We know how important it is for you to keep your loved one’s memory alive, and we offer several programs dedicated to honoring our organ and tissue donor heroes.
The heart of our mission
Lifesharing’s Family Services team is dedicated to supporting the loved ones of deceased organ and tissue donors. Our team members are specially trained to communicate with families during emotionally challenging moments, providing compassionate guidance and clear information about organ and tissue donation. Our goal is to ensure that every family feels heard, respected and empowered in their decision-making.

Honoring your loved one
We believe that organ and tissue donors are special heroes who deserve to be recognized for giving the gift of life. We offer many programs designed to help our families honor the memory of their loved ones and celebrate the extraordinary gift of donation.
Attend a day of remembrance
All Lifesharing families enrolled in our after-care program will receive an invitation to one Day of Remembrance event, approximately one year after their loved one’s passing
Place a butterfly on our memorial wall
Lifesharing families can honor their loved ones with a memorial butterfly.
Add a stone to our memorial garden
Honor a Lifesharing organ or tissue donor through rock painting
Lifesharing’s Día de los Muertos Celebration
Each year Lifesharing creates an altar for Día de los Muertos to serve as a reflection and remembrance to those who have given the gift of life.

Lifesharing is a proud sponsor of the OneLegacy Donate Life Rose Parade Float celebrating organ donation and transplantation. Every year, one of our donors is posthumously honored on the float with a floral portrait.
