Día de los Muertos celebration

Every year, we honor a select group of recent organ and tissue donors for Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Celebrated widely throughout Mexico and other parts of Latin America, Día de los Muertos is an ancient tradition of honoring loved ones who have passed away. The celebration centers around the belief that the spirits of our deceased loved ones return to earth on November 1st and 2nd and must be welcomed home.

Lifesharing’s Día de los Muertos ofrenda

In keeping with tradition, Lifesharing builds an ofrenda (similar to an altar) to display the photos of recent organ and tissue donors. Our team also creates traditional sugar skulls for each hero in celebration of the person’s life. If you are a Lifesharing donor family member who would like more information, complete the form below or call us at: 619 543 7225.
