Lifesharing Hospital Services team strives to enhance organ availability on a local level through education and collaboration with health care professionals within San Diego and Imperial Counties.
Lifesharing Hospital Services Managers work directly with hospital health professionals such as doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, social workers, clergy, and administrators on donation education such as:
- Understanding and overcoming barriers to donation
- Understanding the donation process within their hospital
- Maintaining hospital compliance with CMS and The Joint Commission’s standards for donation
- Providing hospital donation data and reports
- Collaboratively developing and implementing donation education plans for their hospitals
- Providing ongoing education through case reviews, in-services and conferences.
