What is the butterfly made from?
The butterflies are printed full color on clear cast acrylic, with messages engraved on the front in silver ink. They are shaped by hand so the wings curve forward and appear to be flying.
Where will they be delivered?
All butterflies will be delivered to the Lifesharing offices at: 7436 Mission Valley Rd., San Diego, CA 92108. Please call 619-543-7225 with any questions or email butterfly@lifesharing.org.
What can be etched on the butterfly?
Up to 3 lines, 12 characters each (including spaces), for your message. Please carefully proofread your order. The butterfly will be inscribed exactly as you type it.
How can I pay?
We accept PayPal or credit card payments. All orders must be placed online.
I can’t afford a butterfly, what can I do?
Lifesharing can offer assistance to those who are in need and would otherwise be unable to afford a butterfly.
If you would like to honor an organ, tissue, or eye donor on the Memorial Wall but are unable due to financial limitations, please apply for our Butterfly Scholarship online.
Scholarship Criteria:
- Family must be in need of financial assistance
- Donor must originate from the Lifesharing Region
- Scholarship can cover the full or partial costs of the butterfly
