New Building Means New Ways to Honor our Heroes

Lifesharing Heroes:  Always Remembered

With the move to our special new building, Lifesharing will be taking advantage of a myriad of windows, curved walls, mature trees and natural light to create unique opportunities to honor our heroes who give hope, healing and life to others.

The curved glass wall to the right of the lobby showcases three Trees of Life, which have been sponsored by the adult Transplant Centers in San Diego:  Sharp Health, UC San Diego Health and Scripps Health.  They are wonderful partners who share our commitment to supporting families and saving lives.

Why butterflies?

Butterflies will fly among the branches of these trees. Lifesharing chose the butterfly as the symbol to honor our heroes because a butterfly is proof that you can go through a great deal of darkness, yet become something beautiful. When life seems over for the caterpillar, it is born to new life. What a tremendous reminder. What a precious gift given.

Note:  Heroes Butterflies are handcrafted.  We need a minimum of 25 requests before an order is placed.
We will notify you when they are ordered and when they are received to schedule time to place them.

You may purchase a butterfly in our online web store to honor 1) organ, tissue and cornea donors, 2) recipients who have embraced their second chance at life, 3) people fighting to survive on the waiting list, 4) caregivers, 5) transplant professionals, and 6) donation advocates.

Butterflies are available in four colors. We’ll etch your honoree’s name on the wing and invite you in to take pictures and place the butterfly with family and friends among our Trees of Life. You will be amazed how beautiful the butterflies are with sunlight streaming through them.
