Dozens of names added to Lifesharing’s Butterfly Wall of Heroes
You are our hero – forever
Lifesharing is proud to announce the addition of 25 more heroes to our Butterfly Wall. The memorial is a stunning tribute to organ and tissue donors – each butterfly represents a donor hero. On March 15, 2018, several families added their loved ones to the wall in an emotional event.
Cecilia Bradley was surrounded by family as she added her son, Ryan, to the memorial. “You are our hero, forever. We love you,” she said aloud. Ryan Anthony Morrison Bradley became a tissue donor when he passed away at age 25. Tissue donors can save patients facing life-threatening burns and restore mobility to injured servicemen and women. One tissue donor can heal up to 75 people.
There are currently more than 2,000 people waiting for an organ in the San Diego region. Linda LeVier is a heart recipient who placed a butterfly on the wall in honor of her donor. “This is who I’m walking around with,” she said.
Lifesharing has been saving lives through organ and tissue donation for 45 years. To register as an organ donor, go here or click on the pink dot below.
